Obituary Condolences

Sheila Stewart, 52, of Neptune, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at home. She was born Jan. 8, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pa. to David Grant and Ruth West. Sheila graduated from Toms River High School South. She worked for New Jersey Resources (New Jersey Natural Gas) for over 25 years, until her illness. She was a member of Bethel AME Church, Asbury Park, the Auxiliary at Fredrick Dempsey's Post #266, Neptune, Order of Eastern Star, Asbury Park, and the American Legion, Neptune.
Sheila was predeceased by her parents, David Grant and Ruth West. She is survived by her husband, Timothy L. Stewart I of Neptune; two daughters, Tamecka Craig of Atlanta, Ga., and Kialena Conway of Neptune; a stepson, Timothy Stewart II and daughter-in-law, Chantia Stewart of Wilson, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jaryd and Jada; four sisters, Alice Taylor, Francis Ann Spinks, and Theresa West, all of Toms River, and Renee West of Raleigh, N.C.; a brother, William West of Toms River; and a host of nieces, great-nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, there will be no hours of visitation. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 15 at Bethel AME Church, 1001 Cookman Ave., Asbury Park. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. James H. Hunt Funeral Home, Asbury Park, is in charge of arrangements.
