Jeffrey Van Hart Waldron, 50, of Cream Ridge, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009. Born in White Plains, N.Y., he lived in Holmdel for over 40 years prior to moving to Cream Ridge three years ago. He was a self-employed painting contractor and the owner of JGW Painting Contractors for 28 years. Jeffrey served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1981. He was a basketball official throughout all of Monmouth County, and was an avid bike rider. He volunteered for the Bridges Program at the Holmdel Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; two daughters, Leah Lynn and Jessalyn Hart; his parents, Rev. John W. and Mrs. Marjorie Waldron; a brother, John and his wife Joanne; a sister, Leah Ann; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Ruth Engel; two sisters-in-law, Donna and Scott Wolfersberger and Kimberly Engel; his nieces, Caileen Waldron and Nicole Fusco; his nephews, Aaron Waldron and Kaes Waldron; and by numerous close, and loving friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral service will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12 at the Holmdel Community Church, 40 Main St., Holmdel. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Jeffrey would be appreciated to The Bridges Program, Holmdel Community Church, 40 Main St., Holmdel, NJ 07733; your donation payable to The Holmdel Community Church.
