George Boscarino, Jr., of Oceanport, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born in Paterson and lived in Totowa before moving to Oceanport 30 years ago. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School in Paterson. Mr. Boscarino was a salesman for Contemporary Motors in Little Silver for the past 25 years. He was a founding member of the NJ Road Runners Club serving as vice-president for the past 10 years, a founding and board member for 14 years of the NJ Marathon and a founder of Bosco's Buddies, Inc in 1999. He also attended the Long Branch Covenant Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Rose Boscarino. Surviving are his brothers, Joseph and Carolyn Boscarino of Ramsey and John Boscarino of New York City and his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Joseph and David Boscarino and Karen Bohlin and Kathy Boscarino and families.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 12 noon until his funeral service at 3 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Bosco's Buddies, Box 258, Oceanport, NJ 07757. Condolences may be emailed to and will be received by the family.
