DANIEL SWARTS
AGE: 86 CALDWELL
Daniel Swarts, 86, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at St. Catherine of Siena in Caldwell, NJ. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ; Mr. Swarts lived in Lakewood for 30 years before moving to Caldwell 2 years ago. Mr. Swarts served in the Marines during W.W.II; and was in the battle of Tarawa in November 1943.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Isabelle of 60 years in 2008, and a daughter Mary Ann Swarts in 2002. He is survived by 2 sons Daniel and his wife Susan of West Millford, NJ; Peter and his wife Julie of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; a daughter Jane Burns and her husband Jack of Clark, NJ; a sister Mary Murphy of FL; a sister-in-law sister Jeanne Adriene of Verona, NJ; 8 grandchildren Dana, Stacy, John, Jill, Katie, John, Colleen, Bridget, and 11 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of D'Elia Funeral Home. Lakewood, NJ. Donations may be made to St. Catherin's of Siena 7 Ryerson Ave; Caldwell, NJ 07006.
