ROBERT "BOB" AZURAK
AGE: 59 TOMS RIVER
Robert "Bob" Azurak, 59, of Toms River passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. Born in Passaic, Bob moved to Toms River in the early 70's. He was owner operator of his own well drilling business for over 30 years. He was an avid sports fisherman and boater all of his life. He was a hardworking, outgoing man with a loving heart, always there to lend a helping hand.
Bob was predeceased by his mother, Rena Bidinost Azurak. Surviving is his loving wife, Patricia Azurak; two daughters, Nicole and Erica Azurak, both of Toms River; his father, Edward Azurak and his wife Ruth of Elmwood Park; sisters, Diane Herk of Seaside Heights, Gail McKenna and husband Tim of Staten Island, NY; his aunt, Jean Azurak of Elmwood Park; three granddaughters and a grandson. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Jessica Bertani, Beth Krusieski and Kyle Tolentino, all of Toms River, a niece and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the or the Van Dyke Hospice of Toms River on his behalf. The family would like to whole-heartedly thank his doctors; Dr. Anil Ponnambalam, Dr. Steven Lowry, his nurses Judy and Kristen and the entire nursing staff of 2E1 unit at Community Medical Center for all of their help, support and care. They are truly a Godsend.

Visiting will be Friday, 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. Funeral services, Friday, 5:00pm at the Funeral Home. Cremation is Private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the VanDyke Hospice, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08753 or the , 1035 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753 would be appreciated.
