ANDREW COLONNA
AGE: 82 MANALAPAN
Andrew J. Colonna, 82, of Manalapan, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Born in Jersey City, he lived there until moving to Manalapan in 1965. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. Andy was a proud World War II Army veteran and a member of the Teamster's Union Local 560. He was still driving a tractor trailer at the age of 82, and doing what he loved best fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild he so loved.
He was predeceased in 1998 by his wife, Josephine, to whom he was married for 49 years; and his sister, Mary Del Vecchio. He is survived by his five children, Andrew Colonna, Mary Jean Fresco and her husband Andy, Angela Scarnici, Samuel Colonna, and Joseph Colonna and his wife Tracy; his brother, Frank Colonna; his five grandchildren, Danielle, Carissa, Josielynn, Olivia and Joseph; his great grandson, Brody; and his companion of many years, Loretta McKeever.
Friends are invited to visit on Monday, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro. The family would appreciate either flowers or memorial donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

My heart goes out to Andy, Mary Jean, Angela, and Sammy, and to all of the grand-children who will certainly miss their loving grand-father. He was one-of-a-kind, full of fun, a very special man. My condolences also go to all of his extended family members.
