Chris Dhume, 17, entered eternal rest on January 22, 2011. Born in Perth Amboy and was a resident of Cliffwood. Chris attended Matawan Regional High School where he was to graduate in 2011. He was captain of the Matawan Soccer Team, a member of the Bombers Hazlet Travel Team and a member of the TFSC MAPPS Team.

Chris was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Michael J. Szantai and his paternal grandmother Maxine C. Perfect. He is survived by his parents Valerie and Chris Dhume of Cliffwood, a sister Nichole Lester, Keyport, a brother Bronsen Dhume and a sister Danielle Dhume both at home, his maternal grandmother Alice Szantai, Cliffwood, his paternal grandfather, James H. Dhume, Tennessee, and two nephews Jaylene and Dominick Lester of Keyport. He is also survived by his loving aunts and uncles. Chris will be missed and remembered by many.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Bedle Funeral Home, 61 Broad Street, Keyport, NJ 07735. Visitation will be held Monday, January 24 from 2-4 and 7-9. There will be a Funeral Mass at Jesus the Lord RC Church, Keyport at 10AM Tuesday. Interment at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chris' memory to "DOOM" Trust Fund, C/O Val Dhume, 818 Prospect Avenue, Cliffwood, NJ 07735 in support of Matawan Soccer Programs.
