Lorraine J. Leonardis

AGE: 82 • Monmouth Beach

Lorraine J. Leonardis, 82, of Monmouth Beach, died at home on October 4, 2012. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, she became a United States Citizen in 1970, settling in Monmouth Beach. Mrs. Leonardis was an active and long time parishioner of the Church of the Precious Blood of Monmouth Beach, and an active and long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Monmouth Beach, as well as the Eastern Star.

Predeceased by her parents Barry Schofield, and Noviva Rogers Schofield, her brother Jack Schofield, her beloved husband's Gerald Doyle in 1967, and Frederick C. Leonardis in 1990. Mrs. Leonardis is survived by her devoted cousin Theda Keddy, her sister Rose Cousin, and her husband Burt, Valerie Keddy Schiafone, Kevin Keddy and his wife Lisa, and her step-son Fred Leonardis and his wife Liz. Mrs. Leonardis is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Stacy Leonardis - Edwards and her husband Michael, Andrew Leonardis, and Cheryl Leonardis - Clarkin and her husband Jack. She was also the proud great grandmother of Christopher, Andrew, and Katherine Edwards, and Jackson Clarkin. Mrs. Leonardis will always remain a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and a source of wisdom and friendship to her many friends at church and throughout Monmouth Beach. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and the twinkle in her eyes.

Family and friends are invited to the Memorial Mass to celebrate her life on Tuesday October 9th 10:00 am at the Church of the Precious Blood 72 Riverdale Avenue Monmouth Beach. In Lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mrs. Leonardis can be made to the Church of the Precious Blood, or the MBFD Ladies Auxiliary of Monmouth Beach, 24 Beach Road Monmouth Beach, NJ 07750.
