Rosemarie Amodio Lombardo, W. Long Branch, passed away peacefully in St. Barnabas Hospice Care Center, Long Branch on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. Born in Asbury Park, Rosemarie was a graduate of Asbury Park High School and a lifelong shore resident. She was a supervisor at Bell Telephone when it began in Asbury Park and she retired in 1978 as a Service Assistant. She was also the Hostess at Vesuvio Restaurant in Belmar for many years. Rosemarie was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of BPOE Lodge #128, as well as the Recording Secretary for over 5 years. She became a member of the Elks Lodge in 2000. Rosemarie was also former treasurer and Recording Secretary of the Altar Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Park; a member of the Mt. Carmel Ladies Society; the Italian American Senior Citizen's Club of Asbury Park; former Secretary of the Sons of Italy, Asbury Park and a member of the Long Branch Senior Center, where she was a knitting instructor and organized their social events. Rosemarie was cherished and loved by all who knew her and she will be sorely missed by all.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph P., in 1995; her three sisters and three brothers. Rosemarie is survived by her sister, Sue Sciarrabone of Colonial Terrace; three nephews, 2 nieces, 7 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces, 4 great-great-nieces and 9 great-great- nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 in Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park. An Elk's Service will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune.
