John T. Hoffmann, "Ted," 84, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. John was born on March 27, 1928 in Manhattan, NY, where he grew up. In 1957, he and his wife, Lois, settled in Hazlet to raise their family. John worked for most of his life as a computer operations manager for Revlon Co. in Edison, was a life time member of the Hazlet First Aid Squad and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He greatly enjoyed nature and had a love for flowers.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gustave and Mildred (Letko) Hoffmann and his dear sister, Mildred Keczkemethy. John is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 60 years, Lois (White) Hoffmann; his loving children, Valerie Poling and her husband Mark of Keyport, Eric Hoffmann and his wife Andrea of Bound Brook, Roger Hoffmann and his wife Cheryl of Parlin and Dawn Engelhardt and her fiancé Joseph of Keyport, along with his cherished grandchildren, Mark Jr. & Scott Poling, Lindsay & Dennis Hoffmann, Amber & Tara Engelhardt, Timothy & Carly Ann Hoffmann. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 30th from 4 to 8PM and Saturday, December 1st from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet. Service, Saturday, December 1st, St. John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet, 10AM. Interment, Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hazlet.
