Ann Mary Frances Allen

AGE: 77 • Jackson

Ann Mary Frances Allen, 77, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at home. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Maywood before moving to Jackson 12 years ago. Ann Mary was a registered nurse, employed as a school nurse at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, Tenafly before her retirement in 1996. Prior to that, she was a school nurse at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Maywood. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing, Hoboken, class of 1956. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Westlake Bocce Club and the St. Mary's Hospital Alumni Association. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Lakewood.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Frances Erbeck. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Herbert K. Allen; her sons, Stephen D. Holden and his wife Dena of Freehold, Jon Holden Galluccio and his spouse Michael Galluccio of North Haledon, Dale Allen of West Boylston, MA, and Peter Allen and his wife Sally of Exeter, NH; her grandchildren, Daniel Holden, Stevie Marie Holden, Morgan Holden, Jose and Rosa Ortiz, Adam Galluccio, Madison Galluccio, Ryan Allen, Casey Allen, Lucy Allen, and Emma Allen; and her great-grandchildren, Maryanna Ortiz, Leila Serafovic, and Joselyn Ortiz.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood. Please meet at the church at 10:15 a.m. A private cremation will follow. Ann Mary was a cancer survivor for 15 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann Mary's memory to the , Two Princess Road, Suite D, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
