Doris DeCheser Sena, 72, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Born in Newark, she resided in West Orange and then Bridgewater for 27 years, before moving to Whitehouse Station twelve years ago. Doris was a graduate of West Orange High School, attended Berkley School of Business, and earned an Associate's Degree in Business from RVCC. Mrs. Sena worked as an Administrative Assistant at Organon Corporation; for American Airlines at Newark Airport; was an Executive Assistant to the CEO at Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson, Somerville; and worked as a legal secretary in Bridgewater and Ewing. Doris assisted in the development of the Bridgewater Mall as Secretary for the Bridgewater Redeveloping Agency, Bridgewater. Mrs. Sena was a devout catholic; a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Whitehouse Station; was a member of their Altar Rosary Society, League of the Immaculate Miriam Teresa, and Spiritual Daughter of Padre Pio. Doris also belonged to various small catholic bible groups and volunteered at the Anderson House. She cherished the time spent at her lake house in Saratoga, NY and she enjoyed spending quality with her family, especially her grandson, Shawn.
Doris was preceded in death by her dear parents, Arthur and Theresa Diamante DeCheser; and her beloved husband, Joseph J. Sena, Sr. DDS, in 1998. Surviving are her beloved daughters, Diane Sena of Whitehouse Station, Denise Sena and domestic partner, Jeannette Sena of Hillsborough, and Lauren Sena of Whitehouse Station; her beloved son, Joseph J. Sena, Jr. of Whitehouse Station; her cherished grandson, Shawn Sena; her dear brother, Arthur DeCheser and his wife, Audrey of Bangor, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876, followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, 390 County Road 523, Whitehouse Station. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater.
