Lydia Golubov Obituary

Lydia Pizzulli Gradone Golubov

Oceanport

Lydia Pizzulli Gradone Golubov before passing on Saturday, March 30th, Lydia Pizzulli Gradone Golubov of Oceanport had forged a 68 year trail of generosity, love, compassion, kindness and wisdom. She was more than just a hero to her family and friends: she was their role model and she loved every single one of them more than can be imagined.

She celebrated food and holidays to excess, her home a wonderful and bright beacon of light to all. Her cooking was unforgettable and irresistible...better than any Italian restaurant. One always knew where they stood with Lydia much to their dismay at times as she always spoke her mind. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out, reigning as "Miss Long Branch" in the early 1960's in the city that she loved so dearly...the City of Long Branch that she held with great affection her entire life. She was a 1962 graduate of Long Branch High School.

Lydia was admired and respected by her hundreds of clients who repeatedly used her as their Realtor. In the real estate profession for 36 years and co-owner and founder of Brokers 3 Realtors, she was totally dedicated to every client making certain than every transaction went smoothly. Her peers loved working with her knowing that the job would get done. She was a member of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors, New Jersey Association of Realtors, National Board of Realtors, NJAR Quarter Century Club, Distinguished Sales Club and Women's Council of Realtors.

She adored the loved of her life, Joe Golubov, who is a devoted and loving husband. She loved with all her heart her two daughters, Gina Gradone and Jodi Juliano, who she was totally dedicated to and who she always inspired. She was their greatest advocate and friend and was proud of them both. Lydia was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Jean Pizzulli and niece, Willow Granda. Left to mourn her is her husband, Joseph Golubov, her daughter Gina Gradone, her daughter and husband Jodi and Jason Juliano, and her step son Ari Golubov. She is also survived by three sisters, Evie Dopart, Lois Granda and Joy Bastelli and two brothers, Frank Pizzulli and David Pizzulli; her grandchildren, James and Jonathan Laco, Joshua, Jacob and Jordan Juliano, Nadia and Aidan Golubov. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and many close and caring friends and loyal employees.

Visitation Tuesday, April 2, 2-4 and 7 to 9 pm, at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services will be Wed. April 3rd, 11 am at the Long Branch Covenant Church, 355 Joline Avenue, Long Branch. Interment Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Weep you no more, sad fountains; What need you flow so fast? Look how the snowy mountains Heaven's sun does gently waste. But my sun's heavenly eyes View not your weeping, that now lies sleeping Softly, now softly lies Sleeping. Sleep is a reconciling, A test that peace begets. Doth not the sun rise smiling When fair at even he sets? Rest you then, rest, sad eyes, Melt not in weeping While she lies sleeping Softly, now softly lies Sleeping.
