Curt "Fred" Falk, 90, of Brick, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Glen Ridge, grew up in Weehawken and moved to Brick in 1957. Mr. Falk was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Company in Toms River for many years. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1942-1945 earning his wings as a Naval Aviator and afterward serving as a reservist. He was an accomplished athlete, enjoying and excelling in many sports, especially baseball and later in life, golf. He loved sharing his amazing life through the stories he told. He was above all else a loving family man. He was a longtime member of the Brick Elks.
He was predeceased by the love of his life and forever dance partner, wife Shirley Falk. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David Jones of Holmdel; his son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Patricia Falk, Watkinsville, GA; and four grandchildren, Brendan Jones, Christopher, Shannon and Kyle Falk.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
