A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1475 W. Front St., Holmdel, for Elizabeth Livingstone Field, 82, who died Oct. 18, 2012, at home in Baltimore, MD. Guests are invited to a luncheon in the church's Community Room following the service. Born in Grosse Pointe, MI, Field moved to New Jersey in 1969 and lived in Rumson for more than 35 years. She lived at Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls before moving to Baltimore in 2011. Field was a Special Education teacher for Hazlet Township Public Schools for 30 years, leading classrooms at Beers Street, Lillian Drive, and Middle Road Elementary Schools before retiring at the age of 70. She was an active member of the UUCMC, serving terms as a Trustee and annual fundraising chair; she remained loyal to the church and supported many animal rights, civic and environmental groups.
Her husband, Peder Field, died in 1971. Surviving are a son, Mike Field of Baltimore; daughters, Leslie Bell of Tampa, and Christine Peter of Baltimore; four grandsons, and one granddaughter.
