AGE: 75 • Brick

Patricia H. McKay Mesgleski, 75, passed away on June 6, 2013. She was born in Elizabeth and lived in Linden most of her life, where she graduated from Linden High School. Patricia worked for A&P prior to graduation and after Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ. When she came to Brick in 1963, she worked for the Brick Township Board of Education as a secretary. After her retirement she was a Family Historian, genealogist, with her sisters; a member of the Ocean County Genealogical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Captain Joshua Huddy Chapter, Toms River, NJ, served as a registrar for four years, she was a member of the Lions Head Singles, NJ Computer Club, the National Family Blue Association, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Brick, NJ. Patricia's research found that two of her ancestors, Michael Blue, NJ and William Donaldson, NJ both served in the American Revolution. She was married to the late Henry J. Mesgleski, Sr. for 40 years. Henry passed away April of 1997. He was a member of the Carpenters Union 715, Elizabeth, NJ. Patricia is also pre deceased by her sister Virginia Moller and her brother Robert McKay.

Patricia is survived by her second love Raymond Slagus; three children, Virginia Lines, Kenneth Mesgleski Sr, and Brenda Weber; seven grandchildren, Christopher Lines and his wife Amanda, Rachel Lines, Matthew Lines, Kenneth Mesgleski Jr., Elizabeth Mesgleski, Danielle Mesgleski and, Nicole Higginson and her husband Jacob; she is also survived by six great grandchildren.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday 2pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church Brick, NJ. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Patricia's name to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 714 Herbertsville Road, Brick, NJ 08724.
