Clara Juliano, 88, of Toms River passed away at Community Medical Center on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. She was born and raised in the Osbornville Section of Brick Township. Clara and her husband, Pasquale "Pat," were married and raised their family in Toms River. Family was most important to her. As her children were growing up, she instilled a great sense of community in them. She acted as an Assistant Troop Leader for her daughter's Girl Scout Troop as well a Den Mother for her son's Cub Scout Troop. Clara started and ran the concession stand for the Toms River Little Indian's Pop Warner Football Team in the 1960's. She was an active volunteer at Community Medical Center for over 30 years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Toms River Elks BPOE.
Clara is predeceased by her husband, Pasquale in 2009. She is survived by her older brother, Albert Hulse of Micco, Florida; her daughter, Sharon Rizzo and son and daughter-in-law, John Juliano and Cindi Aust Juliano. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Philip Rizzo and his wife Michelle Pope Rizzo, Julianne Rizzo, Katie Juliano, and Jeffery Juliano. Clara is also survived by one cherished great granddaughter, Lily Rizzo and was a loving aunt to 6 nieces and nephews as well as 15 grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River.
