From the family of Robert J McDonnell.
Fond memories of Joe and family. He handled many legal matters for us.
Joe and my husband Bob worked together on a very important court decision regarding the "Freedom of Information Act".
We would see eachother in Belmar at the Boardwalk Dunkin Donuts with Carol and the girls.
We are truly sorry for your loss.

Truly sad. Joe's southern gentleman qualities never permitted him to ever have a mean way or look on his handsome face. His very quiet smile was genuine. His presence created a better place for all in his company. A great loss to everyone who knew Joe.

Dear Mrs. Hillman and Family, I think everyone in Belmar knew Joe. I was shocked and saddened to see the news article, yet I find comfort he was not alone (puppy) and is seeing his loved ones in Heaven. I am sorry for your loss, and Belmar's loss. With respect,

Lizi,
Dad loved you so much and was very proud of you and your accomplishments. He often talked about you and how you were doing in college. He is at peace now with your Mom and Gaby. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Joe is at peace now, with no pain, and in the hands of the Lord. He was a good friend to me and Bill. He loved his family and often mentioned them, especially his Mom. May God bless you all and give you strength and consolation at this very sad time.
