AGE: 82 • Toms River
Patricia A. Hickey ( nee Daly) 82 of Toms River, NJ passed away at home surrounded in great love by her three daughters on Monday, January 12, 2015.
She was born in Newark, NJ to Michael and Lillian Daly. Pat graduated from St. Michaels High School in Newark, NJ in 1951. She resided in Irvington, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1971. Pat worked at the Legend Lounge in Toms River, NJ for at least twenty years where she met and remained close to her many friends before retiring in 1991.
Pat was an avid artist and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to travel with her close friends and family.
Pat was predeceased by her parents Michael and Lillian Daly, her bother William Daly and sister MaryRose Daly.
She is survived by her three loving daughters, Linda Sheridan, Patricia J. Hickey and Mary Siegling, son-in-law Stephen Siegling; her loving friend, Thea Carlo; grandchildren Michael Sheridan, Daniel Sheridan and his wife Christene Sheridan and Stephanie Siegling; great grandchildren Paige and Cooper Sheridan, her ex-husband Raymond E. Hickey; her sisters Jean Savarino, Margaret (Peggy) Martin and her husband John Martin; brother, Michael Daly and his wife Ann; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Pat's many caretakers over the last year especially Monica Rowell of Embracing Hospice and Patricia Cruz of BAYADA Home Health Care.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Thursday at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
