Mario R. Alfonso

AGE: 69 • Eatontown

Mario R. Alfonso, 69, of Eatontown, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Antonio and Gladys Alfonso. Mario was a long standing member of the Sun Eagles Country Club where he was the club champ in 1996 and achieved 7 hole in ones in his lifetime. He also enjoyed bowling, scoring multiple 300 games, playing cards and singing karaoke. Mario proudly served in the U.S Army for 20

years, including 2 tours in Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly and her husband Chris Tetto; his son, James A. Alfonso; his grandchildren, Daniella and Isabella; his sister, Belinda Alfonso Banuchi; his brothers, Jaime and Ricardo, predeceased by Andres his oldest brother. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and friends both in Puerto Rico and the US.

In respect to Mario's wishes, he will be privately cremated. Interment of cremated remains will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May, 13, 2015 at Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown. Please visit Mario's memorial website available at www.braunfuneral.com.
