Lil G.

One of the greatest memories I have of your Grandma is when I (and maybe even cousins Heather and Nicole!) was coming to surprise Dad for Father's Day weekend. I had made plans with Mary Ann and it never failed that I would get lost on my way once on the parkway. Mary Ann gave me your Grandma's number. Well, as with any other trip I made a wrong turn and called your Grandma and she just laughed and laughed and got me on track. Later that night or that weekend, your Grandma and GrandPop came over and we were laughing about it because she just couldn't figure out how I always came the same way and still made a wrong turn...she would be happy to know that I can now make the trip without wrong turns.

She was a wonderful lady and I loved listening to her stories!

Love and Prayers!

Jackie and my parents were very close friends. A woman who held herself with a quiet charm. When she was with me as a child she would always have a quick wit to make me laugh. She was a mother and wife of paramount grace. I spent many weekends at her home as Maryann's friend. She had a skill of being able to see what a child needed or was thinking, for me it was a gift of enormous help. I was able to spend time with her from the time I was 5 until I was around 12. She taught me how to maintain an air of feminine grace and calm when others around you are not. She kept a smile at all times. This was the most important trait I experienced from an extraordinary mother not just that she was a gourmet cook and baker that could put Martha Stewart to shame. Whenever I see pink rollers, cross stitch, a hurt wild bird, cheesecake, blueberry muffins, I always think of her but more importantly but how to push through a hard situation and keep a feminine grace in the presence of turmoil. A woman who mastered being a homemaker that included being a master chef and being in the workforce fulltime, all the while maintaining a feminine grace and humor. Never ever a negative unkind word. I think of a beautiful loving woman who would whisper in my ear when I was sad to make me giggle. Or have me feed a wild bird she raised out of her hand. She was always there ready to mother me, teach me, and help me understand how to deal with life in a calm feminine and happy way. When I had a few conversations with her when I was a young adult she talked to me in a very plain and as a matter of fact way telling me she thought I was great. Great enough to be her daughter. Again making me feel amazing. I should have told her then and many times, she raised me also. God Speed Jackie some day we will go crabbing again. I miss you! Theresa Holman Donley

My Dearest Momma J, I can't even express how much you will be missed. You have given me so many wonderful memories growing up. Every time I am at a Chinese auction I will be thinking of you. The fun times You, Mary and I had sleeping on boat and letting us do things we probably should not have be doing. Yes Jackie I am still keeping that secret that only us 3 know about. You were always there for me like a second Mother protecting, sticking up and covering up for me and your Daughter. I remember sitting in your kitchen, eating the best Pumpkin pie listening to you tell us stories from your past. Your smile and your laughter always lit up the room. I know still you will be watching over us from up above. Heaven has gained a truly wonderful and amazing angel. Miss and love you Jackie. Rest in peace.

I will always remember how Aunt Jackie would pile all of us kids into the Bronco and off we would go to walk on the beach and to collect shells. We were always told not to get wet but somehow the waves always got us and she would laugh. Or we would go to Jersey Freeze for a Cherry bonnet. There are so many found memories which I will always hold dearly in my heart. Love you Aunt Jackie you will be missed.
