James Rienzo Obituary
AGE: 101 • Formerly of Toms River
James Rienzo, 101, of Macungie, formerly of Toms River, NJ, passed away August 21, 2016 in Devon House. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mabel (Mealey) Rienzo. He was the widower of Marie (Bernardo) Rienzo. James worked for NJ State Department of Health before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Exchange Club of Western Lehigh and Seaside Heights Italian American Club. He was a member of Knights of Columbus where he was a Grand Knight. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.
Survivors: sons, Dr. Robert J. Rienzo and wife, Catherine of Macungie; Dr. Thomas Rienzo and wife, Peggy of Kalamazoo, MI; Daughter, Juliet Parker and husband, Donald of Oakland, CA; sister, Mable Wolf of Crystal River, FL; grandchildren, Marie, Sarah, Michael, Bobby, Benjamin, Devon, Colleen, and Kelly; 6 great grandchildren.
Services: Mass of a Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Catholic Church 1040 Flexer Ave, Allentown, A viewing will be held in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus Wednesday, Aug. 24 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday in the church from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Reception will be held after Mass. Interment with military honors will take place in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the charity of your choice.

How honered it was for us to be at your dads mass. Your parents we're wonderful ,warm and loving people.i just wished I was able to have(just a little scotch) as he would say,just one more time.he left us with fond memories.may god bless you and your family
