Irving Verosloff Obituary

Irving J. Verosloff

AGE: 93 • South Brunswick

Irving J. Verosloff, of South Brunswick, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 93. Born in the Bronx, NY, he lived in South Brunswick for the past 58 years.

Irv served in the US Army during both World War II and Korean War. He achieved the rank of 1st Lt and was a radio operator and helped retransmit signals from the enemy. During WWII he was stationed on Tinian.

He was an attorney in private practice, a municipal Judge in South Brunswick and currently the County Tax Administrator for the Middlesex County Tax Board in New Brunswick.

Irv was a member of Congregation B'nai Tikvah in North Brunswick and the New Brunswick Kiwanis Club.

He's predeceased by his 1st wife, Mildred (Goldberg) Verosloff (d. 1988), his parents Fannie and Abraham Verosloff, and his brother Arnold "Speedy" Verosloff.

Surviving is his 2nd wife, Nancy E. Beardslee; his sons Byron of Jackson and Robert of Maine; his daughter-in-law Gwen; and his grandchildren Matthew and Rebecca Verosloff.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, 11:00 am, at the Second Reformed Church,100 College Avenue, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either: Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital or Lyons Veterans Hospital. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the "obituary" email "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com

Irv Verosloff has been a great friend to me since 1972. He was always a faithful, and honest person, who would go out of his way to help people. I have been blessed to know him, and call him my friend.
He will be truly missed! We have lost a good man!
