Ruth B. Dore

AGE: 91 • Formerly of North Brunswick

Ruth (Bosenberg) Dore, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center, Plainsboro. Ruth was born in New Brunswick on July 25, 1925 and grew up in Franklin Township, Somerset County. She also lived in North Brunswick for many years, the Rossmoor Community in Monroe and in Monmouth Junction. She was very proud of her father, August W. Bosenberg, owner of Somerset Rose Nursery. August grew the New Dawn Rose, the first plant patented in the United States in 1931. She attended New Brunswick High School and graduated from the Washington School of Secretaries in Newark. Before retiring in 1993 she was an employee and officer of the New Brunswick Savings Bank where she worked for 29 years. Ruth was an active volunteer in the community. She was predeceased by her son, Robert B. Dore, her brother, Henry C. Bosenberg, and her former husband, Robert H. Dore. Ruth is survived by 2 grandchildren, John R. Dore of North Brunswick and Savannah L. Sharp of Conroe, TX. Relatives and friends may call 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday at the Quackenboss Funeral Home, 156 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, with a celebration of her life beginning at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Elijah's Promise, 211 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

Although we lived on different continents, we were able to share good moments togehter when visiting, especially because of the strong family ties between the Bosenbergs.
Sleep well, Aunt Ruthie, I will always remember you and send you "eine grosse Kuss".
