Gloria Jo Reiber
Gloria Jo Reiber passed away Nov. 28, 2012. She was born on March 15, 1937 near Winterset Iowa. She lived in the greater Yuba City area since 1987. She worked as a surgical nurse in local hospitals for over 20 years.
Jo was an outgoing and happy lady, a result of beginning her life in a large farm family with seven siblings. Always cheerful and quick with a joke, she leaves this world without an enemy and a more enjoyable place for her role in it.
She is preceded in death by her eldest son Darren who passed in 2005. She has also lost 4 sisters and 1 brother but is survived by two sisters.
She is survived by her husband Darrell Reiber and one son, Derek and one daughter, Shanna. She also leaves behind two granddaughters and two grandsons, whom she spoiled and loved without reservation. An avid quilter, soapmaker, knitter, and baker, her handicrafts and holiday meals will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of JoMama's life will be held on Dec. 2 at 4 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist church located at 1460 Richland in Yuba City. Refreshments and fellowship to follow.
