Guadarrama Jr., Vianey (Ney)*
On May 20, 2016, Ney went to meet our Heavenly Father. Ney held immense love and admiration for his entire family and friends. He was born January 29, 1974 in Yuba City, CA, the youngest of four children whom were all reared in Yuba City, CA. He was a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 42 years. Ney was raised on a ranch in Robbins, CA. He attended Winship school where he graduated from the 8th grade. Following his graduation, Ney attended Sutter High School where he received his high school diploma. Ney developed a passion for hunting as well as fishing. He was later known for his hard work and dedication, which he attributes to his dad. Ney nicknamed his dad "old school" because his dad did jobs and chores the "old school" way. His concern and love for others he attributes to his mother Theresa and loving sisters Irma and Corina. His brother Mario instilled to carry forward what we have learned from our elders. These were core values that defined him throughout his life. As a child, Ney loved to ride around with his dad in and about the ranch. Ney continued to ride with his dad throughout his entire life in which they had a bond that was immeasurable and could not be broken. He looked up to his dad, because simply put "he is the hardest working man he has ever known." Ney began hunting with his father at an early age and this is where his passion began for the great outdoors. In the Spring of 1996, Ney attended the 1st ever module D Police Academy which was held at Yuba College in Marysville, CA. The academy was put on by the Sacramento Police Department. In August of 1996, Ney graduated with his P.O.S.T. Certificate & began his quest to become a police officer. In 1998, Ney became a reserve officer for the Wheatland Police Department and in August of 1999 he joined the Colusa Police Department and became a sworn Police Officer. Ney worked for Colusa PD until January 30, 2002. On February 1st of that same year, he continued his career as a police officer with the Marysville Police Department. Ney continued being a police officer until he medically retired out on October 31, 2006 due to a vehicle accident while on duty. On August 24, 2004, Ney's greatest accomplishment was born. Julia Guadarrama came into this world, changing Ney's life completely. Ney was an extremely proud father. When Julia was with him they were inseparable and went everywhere together. Ney would tell his friends and family that he'd hoped and prayed to be the dad that old school was to him. Julia was the apple of his eye and the keeper of his heart. Ney was passing on to her the traditions that was instilled upon him. Those who knew him, knew him as a proud father, a loving son, a caring brother, and loved by friends. Ney is survived by his parents, Vianey Guadarrama and Terry Guadarrama; brother Mario Soto; sisters Irma Quezada and Corina Heier; daughter Julia Guadarrama stepson Tyler Gates; plus nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ney, you were known to many and loved by those who truly knew you. You touched so many hearts and lives along this journey we call life. Thank you for the fun times, the moments we shared, and the great memories. We mourn your passing, but thank you for the smiles, the laughs, and the love that you left in our hearts and minds. 'Til we met again my old friend, our family member... Until we meet again. Rosary services will be held June 1, 2016 - the doors open at 6 pm and Rosary starts at 7 pm at Chapel of the Twin Cities, 715 Shasta St. Yuba City, CA. Memorial Mass will be held at 1 pm on June 2, 2016 at St. Isadore's Church, 222 Clark Ave. Yuba City, CA. Send Condolences at www.appealdemocrat.com
