Pointer, Jacqueline Claire*
Jacqueline (Jackie) Claire Pointer, 81, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2016 in Lincoln, CA surrounded by her family in her last days. Jackie grew up and spent the majority of her life in the California Central Valley. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Pointer; her son Christian Pointer (his wife Sharon O'Brien); her daughter Cara Hartley (Cara's husband Rolf and their children, Ian and Emma). Jackie was a charitable and openhearted person, always ready to help anyone in need, many benefited from her generosity. She was a sincere listener, providing thoughtful advice with a creative spirit and never-ending love. A devotee of crossword puzzles and an avid reader, Jackie was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge; she loved music and was a wonderful pianist. Her keen interest in gardening provided a lush backdrop to her life. Jackie's family will hold a private ceremony to honor her life. Her friends are encouraged to recall a happy or meaningful moment they spent with Jackie and share that memory with a friend. As an additional tribute to Jackie, who provided guidance to many, please remind those who have made a positive impact on your life, how very grateful you are to them. In lieu of flowers, Jackie would love to know that you planted some for yourself, or better yet, for someone else. Send Condolences at www.appealdemocrat.com
