Arlin James (Jim) Elliott


A servant of God, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, and son, Arlin James "Jim" Elliott went to be with God on November 12, 2013 with his family present. He was born June 6, 1934 in Marysville, California and has resided in Klamath Falls Oregon for the past 23 years.

Jim has been an ordained minister for the United Pentecostal Church since 1979. In his earlier years he worked for Baldwin Construction, and many other construction companies. In the 70's he moved his family to Exeter, California to pastor the United Pentecostal Church and continued working construction. He also started up Elliott Auto Sales. His family would consider him a "Jack of All Trades!" Jim loved to preach the Word of God, go fishing, play his guitar, go to the auction, but most importantly, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lenora (Applegarth) Elliott of Klamath Falls, OR.; son Ronald Elliott and wife Sandra Elliott of Savannah, GA.; son Steven Elliott and wife Ticha Elliott of Klamath Falls, OR.; daughter Donna Ownby and husband Doug Ownby of Butte Falls, OR.; daughter Katherine Rogers and husband Larry Rogers of Farmersville, CA., 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Elliott; mother, Anna Maude (Greenwood) Elliott; and his father Walter James Elliott.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Tuesday November 19, 2013 at Ullrey's Memorial Chapel, Yuba City, CA. Interment will follow at Sutter Cemetery.
