Elizabeth Filter

Passed away on April 15, 2014. She was 99 years old. Elizabeth was one of four children born to Fred and Elisabeth Rehrmann, both German immigrants. Elizabeth was born and raised in Watsonville, CA (Santa Cruz Co.) where she attended Notre Dame School.

Elizabeth and her mother would travel to Live Oak to visit family and that is how she met her husband Godfrey. Godfrey and Elizabeth were married in November 1936 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville, CA. Godfrey passed away in 1957 and Elizabeth raised their four daughters.

Elizabeth now joins her husband, a newborn son, her daughter Joyce, her granddaughter Marjorie, her parents, one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Sharp and Pete Skuris, Jane and Larry Dunbar and Elaine Filter. She also leaves 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and was expecting her second great-great grandchild.

She was a wonderful woman, a great role model for many and a hardworker all her life.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. The rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. (after visitation) at Ullrey's Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond Street, Yuba City.

Mass will be Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Isidore's Church, 222 Clark Avenue, Yuba City.
