Kenneth Walter Young Sr.

Of Yuba City, passed away on March 1, 2013. He was born on December 7, 1941 in Waco, TX.

Ken retired after 35 years of service with Post Office and was a Yuba Sutter resident for 25 years.

Cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and son. A devoted preacher and man of faith.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Edith Fae Young, his children, Rick Watson (Karen), Kimberlee Vanunen (John), Kenneth Young, Jr. (Lori), Toschka Adams (Jason), Taara "Leann" Sessions (Brian). Grandchildren: John Schuette (Tana), Joshua Schuette (Britny), Zachary Young, Curtis Young, Riley Adams, Benjamin Young, Marcus Sessions, and Taylor Sessions. 3 great granddaughters, many nieces and nephews, and his numerous "adopted" children and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wright Walter Young and mother, Mildred Davis Queener

Ken was a faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Yuba City. A 32nd degree mason, a past president of the Shriners, a member of SIRS, and American Legion Post No. 0042.

He served in the United States Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5th at First Missionary Baptist Church, 1724 Hooper Road, Yuba City, CA 95993
