Laurie Ann Gasperson


Laurie was born Laurie Ann Lennox on November 13, 1964 in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Laurie passed away suddenly on June 9, 2014 at the age of 49. She resided in Colusa and Yolo Counties for the last 25 years.

She was a graduate of McCarther Nursing College in Enterprise Alabama in 1986 and worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for many years. She was president of her nursing class. She was always helping others and was thoughtful and caring to those in need. It was apparent early in her childhood when she resuscitated a family pet that she was destined for a career in the medical field.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Gasperson SR; her brother, Michael William Lennox; and her father, Lloyd F. Lennox.

She spent much of her time gardening and attending to her two children who she lovingly called her babies.

Her surviving children are Gary Gasperson Jr. (8) and Megan Gasperson (16) of Colusa; her mother, Mary Ann Lennox of Colusa; brother, Colin Lennox of Magalia; sisters: Christine Gregory of Grimes and Susan Holt of Arbuckle; her nieces: Michelle Cox, Jacqueline Gonzales, Cassandra Gonzales and Samantha Gonzales of Arbuckle, Alexandria Walker of Enterprise Alabama; nephews: Christopher Lennox and Johnathan Lennox of Colusa.

She greatly loved her family and always put her children first.

The family ask donations to be sent to the Colusa branch of Enloe Ambulance in lieu of flowers.

Services will be held at McNary Moore on Tuesday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m.
