Natalie Carlson passed on to the Lord on the morning of November 8, 2012 at the age of 89.
Natalie had spent the last several months of her life on earth at River Valley Care Center in Live Oak, CA.
She resided at the Columbia Retirement Center in Marysville, CA, prior to her hospitalization.
She spent time with many members of her immediate family including all of her children within the last couple weeks of her life. They all had quality time with their MOM and had the opportunity to pray together and TRULY say their good-byes on earth.
Natalie was a devout Christian who truly "walked the walk and talked the talk". Everyone who knew her knew exactly where her heart was and knew how important the LORD was in her life.
Pastor Dave Sweet.. said it best when celebrating her 80th birthday at Calvary Chapel in Paradise, CA....he stated that Natalie was the closest to a "Saint" that he ever knew.
She also passed on very appropriately while being sang to by the Hospice Chaplain, Chris Madsen, who spent considerable time with her at the end of her earthly life.
Natalie was survived by her three children, Pamela Ewart of San Jose, CA, Mark Carlson (and wife Helen) of Yuba City, CA, and Don Carlson (and wife Mary) of Eastsound, WA. Also survived by her brother John Beck (and wife Cynthia and son Raymond) of San Jose, CA, and her grandchildren Renee Poulsen (and husband Brian) of San Jose, CA, Chris Carlson of Chico, CA, and Adrienne Carlson of Portland, Or, along with her great grandchildren Celine and Reece Poulsen.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Carlson Sr. Most of their married life was spent in Yuba City, CA.
A Memorial Service will be held for her at the Marysville Methodist Church on December 23, 2012 at 12:30 p.m., and a reception will follow at the church social hall.
Memorial contributions can be made in Natalie's name to Calvary Chapel of Paradise, P.O. Box 295, Paradise, CA 95967, or to the First United Methodist Church, 730 D Street, Marysville, CA 95901.
