Rory Joel Roguski

Rory Joel Roguski, born October 13, 1987 in Yuba City, left us on November 7, 2012. Rory graduated from Sutter Union High School in 2006. He went on to attend Yuba College, working towards an Associates Degree; eventually, he enrolled in the Police Academy, which he earned a certificate from in the spring of 2009.

Rory went on to work as a reserve deputy for Sutter County and was sworn in as a full-time deputy in July 2012. Becoming a Sutter County Deputy was a goal Rory had in mind for sometime and that he strived for. He was extremely proud, as were his family and friends, when he attained this goal.

Rory was an avid fisherman and had also recently taken up snowboarding. He also enjoyed target shooting, which he had won several awards for in high school. Rory was a die-hard Raiders fan.

Rory was a big guy with an even bigger heart and he will be missed greatly.

Rory is survived by his parents, Ronald and Paulette Roguski, his sisters, Rachel Roguski and Veronica Delgado, and his brother-in-law Osvaldo Delgado, all of Yuba City, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Rory's Life will be held at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Yuba City on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
