Tommy Ray Dickens


Tommy Ray Dickens, 65, of Marysville, CA, passed away June 12, 2014. Born August 8, 1948 in Russellville, Arkansas. A resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 60 years. He was a Truck Driver for 17 years.

Tommy served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.

He was an avid musician and was noted for his composing and performing country music, and performed in Nashville.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Adkison Dickens of Marysville, CA; son, Tommy Dickens of Live Oak, CA; twin daughters: Patricia Ann Dickens of Marysville, CA, Elizabeth Jewell Dickens of Yuba City, CA; brothers: Mickey Dickens of Olivehurst, CA, Jimmy Dickens of Linda, CA, Billy Dickens of Salem, OR, Jerry Dickens of Linda, CA; sisters: Linda Nonemacher of Hemet, CA, Betty Welch of Olivehurst, CA, Dorothy Van Tassel of Yuba City, CA, Judy Baker of Las Vegas, NV; several grand and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Dickens.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Sutter Cemetery Memorial Building with Chaplain Chris Madsen officiating. Burial will be at the Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA with Military honors.
