William (Bill) J. Meyer
Bill J. Meyer passed away on February 11, 2013, surrounded by family at his home.

Bill was born on July 13, 1927 to Joseph and Evelyn Meyer in Dunkirk, NY.

He moved to California with is wife in 1960 and has lived in Marysville, CA for 53 years. Bill was married to his lovely wife, Norma for 62 wonderful years and had two children.

He served in the U.S. Army during W. W. II, he played baseball with Jackie Robinson. He worked as a civil engineer for 23 years. He helped build the missile silos and the Oroville Dam, and worked at Beale AFB. His involvement with the community included serving 15 years as a Yuba County Sheriff's department star volunteer.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Debbie Gingery (Jeff), Karen Howard (Craig), grandsons, Josh Jellsey (Jennifer), Jeff Jellsey, Scott Johannes, Tyler Johannes, great grandchildren, Abby, Matthew, Caleb, Luke, Torin, Cole & Adam; brother Richard Meyer (Eleanor) and sister, Linda Tang.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Meyer, parents Joseph and Evelyn Meyer, sister, Carol Franklin and brother Joe Meyer.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Rideout Fremont Cancer Center or Sutter North Hospice., Services will be held at Sierra View Memorial Park on February 18, 2013. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. There will be a gathering at the American Legion Hall on Feather River Blvd. following the service.
