Adelyne Lillian Boone

Adelyne Lillian Boone, 85, formerly of Colusa and now Woodland, CA passed away peacefully December 3, 2010 at Woodland Nursing and Rehabilitation. She had been in failing health in recent months. Adelyne was born April 19, 1925 at home in Homestead County, Minnesota, the daughter of Herman and Ida (Bahls) Flath. Survivors include two children from a previous marriage to Earl David Speck; Vivian Joy (Dale) Reading of Colusa and Jerry David (Joyce) Speck of Ammon, ID. Adelyne married Daniel Boone on December 26, 1967. They were married 37 years before Daniel passed away April 19, 2004. Adelyne's life was centered on the caring and well-being of the children in her family. Prior to retiring, she worked part time for the Woodland Unified School District for 25 years. And, she made many friends while working as an Avon distributor. In addition to her two children, Adelyne is survived by step children; Daniel Eugene Boone (Mary) for Bremerton, WA, Darlene Boon, Vallejo, CA and Vivian Blake, Santa Rosa, CA; two sisters; Marie Walker of Arbuckle, CA and Irma Rinas of Menahga, MN; two brothers; John Flath (Marlys) of Menahga, MN and Marvin Flath (JoAnn) of Park Rapids, MN; grandchildren Bryan Speck of Idaho Falls, ID and Kelli Arce (Gerald) of Colusa, CA; 6 great grandchildren; extended family members Traci & Steve Shera, Staci and Steve Gonzales, Andy and Lenore Timko; plus numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceded in death are parents, Herman and Ida Flath; stepson; Steven Boone; brothers Alvin, Vernon, Clarence, Roy, Edwin; and sister Blanche. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 8th at Kraft Bros Funeral Directors in Woodland, CA. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland, CA.
