Albert A. Ulmer Obituary

Albert A. Ulmer, retired funeral director, passed away September 20, 2016 after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's.

Albert is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter Kelley and granddaughters Stephanie and Victoria from Roseville. Albert is also survived by a nephew, nieces, cousins and a multitude of friends from Yuba City.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, August and Anna Ulmer and his sisters Helen and Elsbeth.

Albert was born in Yuba City on August 16, 1934, and resided here his entire life. He graduated from Yuba City High School and finished his education at the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. After graduation, Franklin Morehead and Albert became partners in Chapel of the Twin Cities. After Franklin's passing in 1980, Albert became sole owner of the chapel. He operated the chapel for over 30 years and during that time Albert touched many lives.

Albert served in many organizations: PER, Elks Lodge 783, Moose Lodge 1204, Native Sons of the Golden West Parlor 261, NRA, Ducks Unlimited, E Clampus Vitus, and the Peach Bowl Lions Club.

Mary and family would like to give special thanks to the many friends who gave help and kindness during Albert's illness.

Services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10 am at Chapel of the Twin Cities. Burial will follow at the Sutter Cemetery.
