Albert (Buck) Fruetel Obituary

Albert (Buck) Fruetel passed away on July 22, 2016. He was born in Lisbon, North Dakota on November 18, 1931. Upon leaving school at 16, he became a lineman for 2 years before joining the US Air Force. He was stationed at Beale Air Force Base where he met his future wife, Matilda J. Middleton. They married in 1953 and had 2 children. Buck farmed milo, clover, rice, pigs, and cows in the Yuba-Sutter area for 60 years and settled in Rio Oso in 1969.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Laura Fruetel, sister and brother-in-law Lois and Hank Rootlieb, sister-in-law Jean Fruetel and brother-in-law Harry Hoffman.

He is survived by June (Fruetel) Hoffman, John Fruetel, Doug and Adeline Fruetel and Ron and Elda (Fruetel) Rodgers. His loving wife of 62 years, Jean Fruetel, his two children and their spouses, Albert and Glenda (McCart) Fruetel II and Katie (Fruetel) and Steven Mintz. Five Grandchildren, Rebecca (Mintz) and Andrew Gillespie, Jennifer (Fruetel) and Brandon Vickner, Albert and Terri (Payne) Fruetel III, Rachael (Mintz) and Garrett Elms and Emily Mintz and 8 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Christian, Sophia, Maddox, Hank, Savannah, Corbin and Owen.

A Celebration of Life is planned on August 19th, 2016 at the Plumas Lake Golf Course, 1551 Country Club Road, Olivehurst, CA from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
