Alice Hitzfeld, 76, passed peacefully into the arms of Our Lord at home on Friday October 4th after a long illness. Alice was born in Delevan, CA. to Genobeba Loya and Memel Singh Saran, the youngest of three sisters.

Alice met her future husband Robert at Beale AFB in June 1971 & married in Plum Boro, PA on July 8th 1972. They resided in Yuba City. Alice worked in the Business Office for Sutter County Mental Health. In 1978 with Robert's transfer to K.I. Sawyer AFB, MI, she accepted the position of Office Supervisor with Marquette County Mental Health to implement the California model computer system which Michigan had just begun adopting for all the county Mental Health facilities in the state.

She moved to San Jose in 1979 with her husband & accepted a similar position with Santa Clara County. After 30 years with the three counties, the last two with the Sheriff's Dept. she retired & became a fulltime homemaker.

Alice enjoyed cooking & time with her family and friends, travel with her husband and visiting family & friends around the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Isabel & her brothers David & Albert.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, her sister Carmelita, sons Richard & Ronald, grandchildren Erika (Stu) & Anthony (Adriana), great - grandchildren Johnny & Nikki, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

Alice will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her and she loved in return.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM, with a Rosary at 6:00PM, Chapel of the Twin Cities, 715 Shasta St, Yuba City, CA. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00AM, St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 S. Clark Ave. Yuba City, CA. Burial will take place at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA immediately after Mass.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to in her name.
