Amrik Singh Phagura
Long time resident and farmer of Gridley, California and living in Granite Bay since 2003, Amrik Singh Phagura peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 27, 2015. Born in Pakistan, the family moved to Punjab, India. He immigrated to the USA 54 years ago. He was a true believer in living life to the fullest every day. His unconditional support and love was an inspiration to all.

He was one of the founders of the Tierra Buena Sikh Temple and the Live Oak Sikh Temple.

He is preceded in death by his brother Kulwant Singh Phagura, and his parents Didar Singh and Chanan Kaur.

Survivors include his wife Gurbachan Kaur; a son Amarjit and wife Manjit; three daughters: Jasvinder Dhaliwal and husband Dr. Parminder Dhaliwal, of Newport Coast, Kelvinder Bains and husband Billy of Yuba City, Bellvinder Sneesby and husband Bruce of Granite Bay, and seven grand children: Jaikaran and Raveena Dhaliwal; Bishin Bains; Alec and Melina Sneesby; Nevin and Shay Phagura. He is also survived by his brother's family of Newark, CA; Jagdish, Satminder, Karmdeep, and Amritpal Brar and husband Jagdeep. He has surviving cousins who he loved and grew up with living in England, Canada, and the United States.

Services will be at Northern Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95815. (916) 922-9668. Visitation is January 30, 2015, 4-6 pm. Funeral Services are January 31, 2015, 1-3 pm.
