Anthony (Tony) Charles Gomez passed away on April 19, 2013 peacefully at his residence with his wife by his side.
Tony was born to Merced and Bernarda (Roldan) Gomez on April 21, 1939 in Willows, CA. He was the youngest of 7 children. After graduating from Colusa High School, Tony joined the United States Army. After serving his country, Tony returned to Colusa and worked various jobs before settling down at Zumwalts Machine Shop where he was a long time fabricator. In 1981 Tony ventured out and started his own business, "Tony Gomez Welding," where he served the community for thirty plus years.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Arlene Gomez; his loving and helpful son T.J. Gomez, his wife Stephanie, and their beautiful daughter Lauren Grace; and Tony's sister Gloria Yanez of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by numerous "favorite" nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by both of his parents, sisters Mary Ramirez, Emma Godinez, Isabell Zepeda, and brothers John and Joe Gomez.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Colusa, CA. A Celebration of Tony's Life will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Colusa Golf and Country Club at 11 a.m.
