1935 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Barbara Sharon Pauls Obituary

Barbara Sharon Pauls, 82, was born on March 5, 1935 in Fullerton, California to George and Marjorie Davies. After a courageous battle with cancer she left us on May 2, 2017 to be with her Heavenly Father. Her Family and friends were by her side with every step of her fight and journey.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald Pauls. Her five children; Michael Pauls of Yuba City, Steven Pauls (Linda) of Orlando, Florida, Daniel Pauls (Jeannie), Linda Ward (David) and Robert Pauls all of Yuba City. Her sister, Judy Klamerus of Yuba City. Her 3 nieces, who she loved like daughters, Suzanne (Kent) Myers, Karen (Dave) Coker and Jeannie Howard all of Yuba City. Her legacy will live on through her 17 beautiful grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who she loved and adored so very much.

She was proceeded in death by her parents George and Marjorie Davies, brother-in law Fred Klamerus and niece Margaret Klamerus.

Barbara was a devout Christian and lived her life that way. One of her fondest adventures was a trip to the Holy Land that richly influenced and forever changed her life. She loved spending time outside and was an avid gardener and flower lover. She could grow things that most could not. Barbara had many hobbies and talents that enriched her life such as reading, and finding hidden treasures at garage sales. She was a talented artist in various mediums some of which include: painting, sewing, and knitting. Her friends and family always received thoughtful, handmade gifts from her.

Her beautiful spirit and warmth shone through the loving connections she made with friends. She loved to spend her time with a group of women who called themselves "The Walkie Talkies". They were best friends who would meet regularly to walk, talk and get coffee. They burned the most calories just from how much they made each other laugh.

Barbara loved and dedicated her entire life to her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Although her "Queen's Chair" is now empty, our hearts are full of her love and memories. And just as the hummingbirds that she loved so dearly, she will forevermore fly towards the flowers in her eternal paradise.

A Christian celebration of life mass will be held at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, in Yuba City on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, family suggest donations to St. Isidore Catholic School or to Barbara's favorite charity the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at: Society of St. Vincent de Paul, National Council of the United States, 58 Progress Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO 63043-3706

Barbara's family wishes to express sincere gratitude and thanks to family and friends that kept bringing food and were there for her until the end. To Sutter North Hospice (Vernita and Robin), and the truly amazing group of women/caregivers that we call "Angels on Earth" Gabby Jensen, Amy Paredes, Sharmon Williamsen, Megan Jensen, Mandy Harville, and Amie Cottrell for lovingly helping us care for our mother so we could keep her at home and comfortable during her final journey.
