Behbal Singh Obituary

Behbal Singh, 68, of Yuba City, CA, passed away peacefully at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA on April 16, 2017 at 11:45 am. He was born in the Ludhiana District in Punjab, India.

He worked as a civil servant there in the transportation agency for some 35 years, married his childhood sweetheart, raised a beautiful family, and later in life realized his dream of migrating his family to America. Throughout the decades and the many trials of life, he never wavered in the slightest from his responsibility to his family, faith, or the righteous path he walked daily. He passed through his life, and especially this past year of illness, with an amazing grace and left this world with a contented heart brimming with peace and joy, which showed through the glisten in his hazel eyes till his last days. The compassionate, loving family he leaves behind is a testament to the greatness of this man whose word was gold and always approached the world with an open mind and heart. We are forever in debt and grateful for the time we spent with this remarkable man. May God bless his soul and give us the strength to live on in the spirit of his memory.

He leaves behind his wife Randhir Kaur and 4 children: his eldest son Gurpreet Singh Deol, his younger son Manpreet Singh Deol, his eldest daughter Jatinder Kaur Jhajj, all of Yuba City, CA, his younger daughter Rawanjit Kaur Basi of Fairfield, CA and 7 beautiful grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Chapel of the Twin Cities, 715 Shasta St., Yuba City, CA 95991. Please contact Manjit Singh Deol (530) 923-0882 or Inderdeep Singh Jhajj (916) 670-9222 for any further information.
