Beth Marie Walden Obituary

Born on July 13, 1934, in Malad, Idaho, Beth passed away on August 13, 2017, at the age of 83 years. She met and married her lifelong love, Samuel Walden in 1951, who was serving in the US Air Force near her home. They were married for over 66 years, and for the first 25+ years they were stationed at different USAF assignments around the country along with their four children. They arrived at Beale during January 1965, with Sam's assignment to the new SR-71 spy plane. They lived on Beale AFB until 1971, when they moved to their home in Wheatland.

Beth began working for the Wheatland School District in 1970, and stayed on for 25 years as a Special Education Teacher's Aide at Bear River School. At the school, she was well known for her work with the students, her kindness to staff, and her crafting abilities (her bulletin boards were absolute works of art!)

In retirement, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as crafting, gardening, and reading.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Samuel Walden, as well as their four children; Phyllis Harris (Glen) of Whidbey Island, WA, Roger Walden (Shelly) of Chewelah, WA, Kenneth Walden (Joan) of Yuba City, CA, and Tamara Johnson (Bart) of Wheatland, CA. She is also survived by grandchildren; Alisa Green (Daniel), Amanda Harris-Forbes (Sean), Amber Cook (Warren), Jessica Bolton (Ted), Jacob Walden (Tanya), Jessica Berge (Jon), Jeremy Johnson (Michelle), and Nicholas Walden, and her great-grandchildren; Tré Forbes, Nadeea Forbes, Alex Cook, Rayce Cook, Jonah Cook, Meghan Loer, Jasen Berge, Jenna Berge, Enzo Johnson, and Paxton Johnson. In addition, she is survived by her brother Bill Flint and sisters; Beverly Wilson and Nancy Goss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard A. Flint and Mina "Naomi" (West) Flint, her sisters; Nadel Witt, Shirley Flenner, and Margo Mullen, her brothers; Richard Flint, Gerald Flint and Roger Flint, and great-grandson, Justin Berge.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Beth's life to be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Johnson's Poolhouse, 2549 Jasper Lane, Wheatland. The family will be providing an informal luncheon of all of her favorites along with photos and shared stories.
