In 1981, she went to work at Gone With the Wind Travel as a travel agent. She became a Certified Travel Consultant at the age of 60 and worked in travel until her retirement at the age of 77. Betty traveled six continents extensively from her mid 40's until her late 70's, fullfiling a childhood dream.
