Bill Bristow Obituary

Bill Bristow, 59, of Biggs, CA, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2017, at his home. Bill was born on April 15, 1958, in Portola, CA. His youth was split between Portola and Lodi, CA.

Bill enjoyed hiking, camping and kayaking. He was a Western Pacific train enthusiast and a big Green Bay Packers fan. He also loved gardening and raising cattle, in particular his massive "Holstein."

Bill's faith in his Lord was unshakable. He was well known in the Biggs area for his huge Christmas light displays and loved spending holidays and time with his children and grandchildren. His dream was to travel in his new RV when he retired.

He worked in property management for Schaeffer, Suess and Boyd, in Lodi, for many years. For the last 15 years he was employed as a tanker driver for Hunt and Sons, formerly Vanella Oil, of Chico. He was a valued employee and very well liked by his coworkers.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary and Chico Guerra of Portola; his father, Albert Bristow, Sr. of Lodi; his siblings, Monica Bristow and his brother Kevin Bristow.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Bristow of Biggs; his son, Bradley Bristow of Lodi; stepson, Jason Robinson of Orland; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ethan; his step-mother, Lila Bristow of Stockton; his siblings, Joe (Shelley) Bristow of Valley Springs, John (Mary) Bristow of Wisconsin, Carolyn (Tap) McComb of Oregon, Eric Guerra of Oroville and Francie Guerra of Chico; plus numerous extended family members.

A Funeral Service will be held at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 12:00pm. There will be a viewing preceding the funeral from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Graveside will be at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery with a Celebration of Life following at the Moose Hall in Gridley, CA.
