Bob Korwin Obituary

Bob Korwin went flying away with the birds he loved on December 4, 2017.

He was at home with his loving wife when he went to be at peace. He was born in New York to Matthew and Jeanette Korwin.

Bob graduated from San Digueito High School. He then joined the Air Force serving his country and retiring 20 years later as a Master Sergeant.

He worked with Horizon Air in Oregon and Houston Fearless in California until they closed. He last worked for and retired from Marysville Joint Unified School District as an electrician.

Bob is survived by his wife and friend of 22 years, Nancy; his sister Cindy Thorpe of San Marcos, CA; his niece Jeannine Thorpe of Mechanicsville, VA; two cousins in New York; a step daughter Aubrey (Darin) Sasamoto and a stepson Jason Porter. He dearly loved his grandchildren Issaih, Kaiden, Cameron, Gianna, Dylan, Dominic, Jonny and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents and aunts and uncles.

He loved to hunt and fish. When Bob made friends they were very special and were friends for life.

Bob will be dearly missed.

Honoring his wishes, there was no service or memorial. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the or to your local Future Farmers of America or Special Olympics.
