Bonnie Jean (Brown) Emery Obituary

Bonnie Jean (Brown) Emery, born at 431 6th St., Colusa, on September 14, 1933, eldest child of Alfred G. "Ted" and Helen (Freed) Brown; passed away on September 16, 2017, in Yuba City.

Bonnie was a fabulous cook, gardener, reader, crossword puzzle solver (pen!) and font of Colusa history.

The family wishes to send a heartfelt thanks to her devoted home caregivers, Rochelle Hetzell and Linda Cape; as well as to Joe and Kim Cheas, and all the friends for the years of gab and laughter at the Donut Wheel.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wally; daughter, Lyn Marie (John) Stutz; son, Daniel (Kristin) Emery; and beloved grandson, Kyle Emery. Bonnie is also survived by her aunt, Fern Freed Rogers; sister, Pat Brophy; brothers, Daryl (Carole), Ted (Alicia), Michael and Chris; sisters-in-law, Roxanna Brown and Martha Armocido; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and life-long friends.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Helen Brown; and brothers, Philip and Blair Brown.

Graveside services will be held at the Princeton Cemetery on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to the Colusa Fire Department, Colusa County Historical Society, or the Salvation Army.
