Bruce Talmadge Gossett Obituary

Bruce Talmadge Gossett, 85, went to be with the Lord in the early morning on September 18, 2016. He was born on June 16, 1931 in Little Rock, AR to David and Elsie Gossett. Bruce served in the Army during the Korean War. Bruce was married and had the joy of two children born to him, David and Bennie. Bruce later married Willa McLain Mote. With the two families joined, they spent a blessed 44 years together.

Bruce was an avid fisherman, hunter and a gardener to be envious of. He had an extremely generous heart, gentle spirit and was ever kind. His face would light up for friends and family; no matter how he felt, he always had a smile. He refused to ever give up and continued to find strength to take care of his trees, plants and garden. One of his joys was sharing his bounty to all family and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by Willa Gossett and son David Gossett. Bruce is survived by his daughter Bennie (Ben) Gossett Whipple, step-children Dale (Karen) Mote, Virginia "Ginny" (Tom) Mote Poole, Paul (Deana) Mote, Janette (Allan) Mote Johnson, and a wonderfully long list of grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him dearly.

A graveside service will be held at the Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Bruce's name to the .
