Carolyn Lee Brunelle (née Johnson) of Yuba City, passed away January 23, 2018.

Carolyn was born December 5, 1946 in Harriman, Tennessee to Ruel and Maxine Johnson and has resided in the Yuba-Sutter area since 1966

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Leonard; her son Dr. Corey J. Brunelle of the Sacramento area and her granddaughter, Megan A. Brunelle of the Santa Cruz area. Her brother Richard B. Johnson of Yuba City and numerous nephews, niece and grand nephews and nieces in California and Vermont.

Carolyn was proceeded in death by her father, Ruel and her mother, Maxine.

Carolyn relished her life and her family and she pursued many endeavors. She was an avid photographer, published poet, counselor, artist, wood crafter, cat lover and organizer of the first degree. She was adamant in her feminism and in her political leaning (she loved President and Mrs. Obama). Her generous spirit, wonderful sense of humor and her glorious laugh and love for us will be forever cherished.

Prior to retiring in 2006 she worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant for multiple businesses and charities in the Yuba Sutter area. She graduated Cannons School of Business in Hawaii and also earned a degree in cosmetology.

At her request no ceremony will be conducted and inurnment in Sutter Cemetery will be private.
